I jumped around a lot as far as what I wanted to get my degree for, starting with fine art. Art treated me well for a good few years, but when it came time to look at the job market, although it at the time would have been my dream job, it wouldn’t have been fruitful enough to support myself and my fiance. So I went to school for engineering. Although I like to think I was good at that field, it made me miserable, and I couldn’t bring myself to keep going that way. A friend of mine then re-introduced me to computer science and game design, and that’s where I found my happy medium. I take pride in the things I work on, treating them all as if they are a work of art, but still have the technical knowhow to accomplish the ideas I have in my head. Working with people has always also been a passion of mine, so the common team based environments of this field suits me well. My close friends know me as the one who’s willing to try most anything at least once, and that’s something I like to bring to the workplace as well. Trying everyone’s ideas, and having educated reflections on what worked, ultimately accumulating to something we can all be proud of.
